Gluten is a protein that is found in certains foods such as wheat, rye and barley, and some of us do not tolerate gluten well, and need to avoid it completely due to an allergy, as seen in coeliac disease, an intolerance such as non-coeliac gluten sensitivity, or it may be that there is just some digestive discomfort such as bloating or cramping. There are still plenty of foods that are naturally gluten free including meat and fish, eggs, fruits and vegetables, grains such as quinoa, rice and buckwheat and nuts and seeds.
