From healthy green smoothies to energy-packed strawberry and banana ones, try our recipes using fresh fruit and leafy veg for a quick, nutrient-packed drink
Looking for easy smoothie recipes? Whether you're after breakfast drinks to start your day healthily or want to pack more veg into your diet, we have plenty of recipes that are simple to make.
Making your own smoothie is by far the best way to make sure you are getting the maximum nutritional benefit from the ingredients and not over-doing the sugar. The keys are to drink them soon after blending and add some form of protein – such as milk, yogurt or nut butter – to make your smoothie denser and more filling. You can also add vegetables, which are typically lower in sugar than fruit, but either way, you'll still be loading up on vitamin C and fibre and contributing to your five-a-day.
